Very early on the first day of the week, two friends of Jesus named Mary went to visit the tomb where He had been laid. Their hearts were very sad, because they missed their Teacher.

They worried about the big, heavy stone that closed the entrance to the tomb. How would they be able to move it to see Jesus one last time? Everything seemed dark and hopeless.
